Getting the feel right

A tap-to-fly game is really three numbers — gravity, flap strength and gap size — plus the scroll speed. Describe them in plain words and change one at a time, because changing all four at once makes it hard to tell what helped. Give the player a moment after the first tap before the first column arrives. Keep the hitbox slightly smaller than the character so that a near miss counts as a pass. Make restarting instant: one tap on the game-over card and you are flying again, with no menus in between.
