• Block and report, and admin tools to remove messages or members.

• A "catch me up" button that summarizes a long group thread, using the AI backend that comes with the project.

Get it on your phone

1. Press Build this chat app and sign in with Google.
2. Create two member accounts and chat between them in the emulator preview and on a second device.
3. Ask for changes in plain words: "green bubbles for my messages", "show member photos in groups", "only admins can create groups".
4. Press Download APK, install it on your phone and invite five members for a test week before everyone joins.
5. For Google Play, build the signed APK and AAB from the same menu; the APK builder page explains signing.

Write down your house rules before you invite anyone: who can join, who can create groups, what gets deleted. Put them in your request, and the agent builds the admin tools to enforce them.

Keep the first version small

A chat app succeeds when a specific group of people actually uses it, not when it has every feature. Start with the conversations that already happen somewhere messy — a crowded group on a personal messenger, an email thread nobody reads — and move just those into your app. One-to-one chat, a few groups and an announcements channel are enough for version one. Add polls, reactions and search once people ask for them. Because you own the app, you also own the rules: who can join, how long messages are kept, and what admins can see. Write a short privacy note in the app so members know too.
