Not legal advice. A template built from your answers. Make sure the page matches what your app and your servers really do.

If people can create an account in your Android app, Google Play requires two ways to delete it as of October 2026: an option inside the app and a web page where users can request deletion without the app, linked in the Data safety form. That page must name the app or developer as on your store listing, show the steps clearly and say which data you delete, which you keep and for how long. Fill in the form above to get a ready-to-host HTML page plus a Play Console checklist; nothing you type leaves your browser.

Is a delete button in the app enough?

No. Google's User Data policy asks for both: a readily discoverable option inside the app, usually in Settings, and the web link. The web page serves people who already uninstalled the app, so it must let them request deletion without reinstalling. Deactivating, disabling or "freezing" an account does not count as deletion. Data held by service providers is in scope too: delete it from your servers and ask the provider to do the same.

What data can I keep?

Google lets you keep some data for legitimate reasons such as security, fraud prevention or regulatory compliance, as long as you tell users clearly. Typical examples are invoices that tax law makes you keep (the period differs by country), abuse reports, and backups overwritten on a schedule. Everything else linked to the account must go, including every data type you declare as collected in the Data safety form. Google sets no deadline in days; it asks you to say what to expect and finish requests reasonably quickly. Privacy laws can be stricter: the GDPR generally gives you one month to answer.

How to publish the page and fill in Play Console

  1. Download the HTML and host it at a public address, for example yourdomain.com/delete-account, or publish it as a one-page site with the AI website builder at appbuilderagent.com/p/your-name/.
  2. Open the link on a phone and check that it loads without signing in.
  3. In Play Console, open App content, then Data safety, answer the data deletion questions and paste the link into the account deletion URL field.
  4. Keep the in-app Delete account option and your privacy policy consistent with the page.

The privacy policy generator and the terms and conditions generator write the other two documents apps with accounts usually publish. Read publishing on Google Play, the privacy policy guide and where your data lives when you build with AI for the wider picture. This is a template, not legal advice.

Building an app with sign-in?

Ask the AI agent for a Settings screen with Delete account from the start: the login, sign-up and dashboard guide shows the prompt, and the APK builder makes the signed AAB for Google Play.

Frequently asked

Does my app need an account deletion page?

Yes, if users can create an account in your app. As of October 2026, Google Play's User Data policy requires such apps to let users request deletion both inside the app and through a web link, which you enter in the Data safety form in Play Console.

What must the account deletion page include?

It must load without errors, name the app or developer exactly as on your Google Play listing, make the way to request deletion easy to find and explain any step needed first, such as cancelling a subscription. It should also tell users which data is deleted, which is kept and for how long; Google requires you to clearly disclose any data you keep.

Can I keep some data after deleting an account?

Yes, for legitimate reasons such as security, fraud prevention or regulatory compliance, for example tax records, but you must clearly tell users what you keep. Everything else linked to the account must be deleted, including every data type you declare as collected in the Data safety form.

Is deactivating the account enough?

No. Google Play says that temporary account deactivation, disabling or freezing does not count as account deletion. The account and its data must really be deleted, apart from the data you disclose as kept.

How quickly must I delete an account?

Google Play does not set a fixed number of days: it asks you to tell users what to expect and to complete requests within a reasonably quick period. Privacy laws can be stricter; under the GDPR you generally answer a deletion request within one month.

Where can I host the page?

On any public web page that opens without signing in, such as your own website or a one-page site made with App Builder Agent, which publishes at appbuilderagent.com/p/your-name/. People who already uninstalled the app must be able to use it without reinstalling.

Is anything I type sent to your servers?

No. The page and the checklist are assembled in your browser from your answers. Nothing is stored or sent, so download or copy the page before you close the tab.
